KEKXIFIED
The reason why I haven’t blogged anything yet lately it’s because I joined another contest, Twenty[24]Quatro, a guerilla film-making marathon contest held by College of Saint Benilde (just a neighbor school)..

To be qualified, each team should consist of 4 and the job is to create a 12 to 15 minute long video for just 24 hours. We had a briefing 2 days before the actual shoot day and they gave us the terms and conditions and also the main theme : APOCALYPSE.
The creative team (@JaimeeCalupitan @kimaiville @janallista)

The twist: on the shoot date itself, that’s the only time we are informed for all the required location sets they want to see on our film, Also, we have to advertise HTC phones too in a creative way (like aplacement advertisement) and our film should consist of Taong Grasa too.
It’s actually my first time to work on a film that is a one day shoot and edit and it’s very exhausting and new to me. Imagine how hard is it to conceptualize a script during the shooting and not having a shot list, i swear it’s 10 times harder for the editor to manage a complete vignette that the director and the director of photography wants to illustrate to compliment the entirety of what the script writer wants to convey to the audience.
I’m very happy to have Jaimee Calupitan, Kim De Guzman and Jana VIllaflores to complete my team and be part of this enervating production ever! We did not waste time at all and non of us were free loaders because each did a good job to make this one heck of a film!
(I portrayed an extra role too as taong grasa, that’s why I look dirty)

Of course, it wouldn’t be possible too without GIno Barcelo ( kim’s bestfriend) who did an outstanding performance and actually game to everything crazy! (siya na talaga ang todo sa pag acting, #enchongdee tabi na jan! )

Our team combination was actually unexpected, however I believe that we did a very good job! We deserve pat on the back and a chicken joy! (our official food for every meal during our shoot day)
Here are some of our Behind the Scenes!

O diba, career lang! :))

The twenty quatro page will upload our film entitled: Tuldok.
and by monday i think it’s open for online voting!
I’ll send the link soon! vote us ha! :)
Finally! I won something pertinent to my forte this year and it’s such a big deal to me because I officially consummated one from my bucket list: It is to win a contest!
So I joined Ad Speak 2012, whereas competing with over 500 students from different schools and universities, my print entry was one of the 10 finalists falling under that category. My fellow classmates were also finalists under TV category and Print campaign category.
Lo and behold….

I won 2nd place in the print category, Practitioner’s Choice Award! Not online choice nor student’s choice but Practitioner’s Choice Award! They’re hardcore advertisers who judged the entries and to me it’s such a grand feeling to know that “them big chiefs like my work, yo!”
Here’s our photo before going home from Ad Speak 2012 with Sir. Lester, Advertising Track Coordinator (He’s one of my favorite prof!!)

What made me elated was the messages from my professors who has been very supportive!

I love them so much and I’m so happy that they are my mentors! I’ve learned so much and I owe it to them! :)
Thank you Lord! :)

Just laced my skates with Kim and Karl and swirl away at The Ice Skating Rink, MOA.

Ice skating for the first time can be extremely difficult (well actually til’ the end haha) because it requires a lot of balance for you to be able to glide swiftly. Unfortunately with me, I’m a woman without balance so I’m always inch close to stumblin’…It’s not actually my first time to ice skate because I remember when I was 7, there’s always this free “1 hour skate in ice” voucher in every purchase from SM department store (South mall) and once that time I convinced my parents to avail it and never did it again til’ now because I find it pointless; I always stay on the side rail to keep me safe from danger! :)))

Mind over matter tho, I managed to skate in the middle with the help of Kim! :)

I had so much fun with Kim and Karl because they are just up to everything random! Actually Ice skating is listed on Karl’s bucket list. ( Ice skate wearing a dress) next on to our list : to fire a gun! ( but us 3 are planning to go to puerto galera so whichever comes first!)
After skating, we went out already to smoke and we stayed at Cafe’ Breton to continue our chit chats!:) so there, that’s how our day went! :)

but fuck that, I’ll work hard for it anyway! I wouldn’t let myself lie down in my grave without accomplishing yet my bucket of bucks list! (I need a lot of bucks tho)
1st on my list: Celebrate my New year @ Times Square, New York

2nd: See a Burlesque Show @ Las Vegas, NV

3rd: Fire a gun

4th: Go to the Lovers Bridge in Paris wherein couples attach a padlock to the bridge and throw the key into the river symbolizing their eternal love

5th: Visit Tropea Beach, Italy

It is built from special thermal glass that helps regulate the internal temperature and prevents the glass from getting frosted. The location offers an amazing views of Aurora Borealis (The Northern Lights ) during the winter months.

8th: Ride an elephant. @ The Mu Ko Chang National Park, Thailand

9th: Ride in a helicopter

10th: and to end my list, visit Leeds, England ♥♥♥
