KEKXIFIED

Yung feeling na nag blog yung idol mo na prof tungkol sayo :”>

His blog post made my day! It’s just pure naked happiness! :D:D:D

I am a smoker but I have a creative license to send messages to people to change their views on their habits. I am the target of my own poster and I admit that I, sometimes do not practice what I preach but that does not make me hypocrite. I am trying to quit the habit. :)

Our Philippine-Movie Theme inspired of Coca-Cola’s “Para sa lahat TVC”..

Open Happiness!

We are tasked to create a Coca-cola advertisement similar to the famous campaign ad “Coca-Cola For everyone TVC ” wherein this big idea gave birth to a different language ad worldwide.

The challenge here is, we are tasked to create a theme out of this big idea and we came up with “Philippine Cinema Theme”  (I’ll upload it after this post)

Here are some snapshot from our shoot:

See how budget-constricted we are? White Cartolinas for our set and a study lamp for our prod lights! :)) We consumed tons of Coca -cola products that day and boy that shoot was hell tiring!

A never before seen cookie

We are tasked to create a Big Idea for the Chunkee cookie cream pie and we are required to come up with two print ads under that big idea.

And since the cookie is not the usual cookie we have, I came up with an idea of having it like a Movie poster where it entices consumer to watch the film. But in the chunkee case, i incorporated film posters that says ” A never before seen cookie”

bra’h, you better be enticing!

So, as a continuation to my previous post, we are tasked to change the layout of the chosen advertisement of your classmate that they think it’s a bit boring for their taste.

And I got this:

A buy 1 take 1 promo advertisement from Triumph (Underwear line)

As you can see, It follows the traditional sale format wherein it is presented in the simplest form.

Again, being the queen of procrastination, I edited my version 30 minutes before the class all together with Jana’s and Abby’s assignment wherein I promised them that I would  teach them how to edit and help them.

Anyway here is my version:  (played with the letter B and made it visually look like a bra and also I placed a panty-formed barcode since it is a purchase promo and used a red background lace to oomph the sexy side of underwear.

Anyway, Here are their print ads:

Abby’s:

here is the original ad:

As you can see, it is a typical print ad of Victoria Secret and Abby requested that she wanted to booze it up and add a silhouette effect and place more girls in the print ad since it’s a fashion show that they are promoting. She also wanted to place a tagline “A piece of heaven in the runway”  however since I ran out of time, the only photo I had in my downloads is a victoria secret model dressed as a devil wherein it doesn’t match her tagline. I changed it to: “the only runway wherein naughty becomes nice”

Here it is:

and for Jana’s it’s a Condominium Ad and what’s funny is, it’s so hard to look for a decent photo from google that will suffice the creative ideas of her.

Original: (Actually I cant find the actual photo, but it is similar to this only there are plenty of kids jumping  who looks constipated with their fake laughs with a text overload of the the word “step”)

Here is the edited version:

Advertisements are often boring, unless you think outside the quadrilateral parallelogram

So we had a task for Creative Development Advertising subject to choose a mind-numbing print ad wherein we had to revamp it and present it in front of the class creatively.

As usual I made my assignment hours before the class,  so my creative juices panicked and here’s the result of my procrastination:

But first, here’s the fugly logo of Department of Trade and obviously it’s my prospect for make over:

It was months ago already when they came up with that logo and Team Manila got very concerned and was willing to help and produced something like this:

However, it was so creative that it looses the core of what Philippines really is tho it has minimalist jeepney touch and all, I think it lacked color and it would be better if they used Dark Blue, Red and Yellow to somewhat represent the flag.

Anyway, before I get into the nitty gritty and sound like a geek of Advertising, Allow me to introduce my version, since I was procrastinating the time I did it, I am apologizing in advance because I made this while I’m in the public bus going to school in which case I’m nearly late already so I had no choice but to not waste time.

Here it is and I’m not a proud momma because it’s boring as hell

The way I presented it is nonetheless the traditional Power point Presentation and I was boring as hell that day too:|

Our professor decided to spice it up a bit and had exchange tasks with fellow classmates wherein we had to trade the chosen ugly advertisement and revamp it as well. I’ll put it on my next blog how it went, but for now I’ll grab something to eat! my tummy is growlinggg! :)

Coffee versus Tea

Coffee is a worldwide trend to every age since Starbucks and coffee bean was born, admit it! You find yourselves grabbing a cup of coffee or two since you ought to do a lot of work and it’s just hell perfect with cigarettes right? They are your bestfriends when you are stressed, hence causing your wallet afterwards. I see that even 8 year-olds are addicted to Starbucks and treating themselves with frappes, and I think the fad of coffee shops  are just so overrated that triggers people to crave for coffee so much.  I used to be an addict of coffee, and my favorite is caramel macchiato. I drink more than 8 cups of coffee a day, In the morning I brew black coffee or the “kapeng barako” of batangas, then I always have a tumbler on my way to school, I will buy sachets of 3 in 1 during intervals of class (my favorite was Nescafe intense and Kopiko) or you will find me in coffee shops around taft.  I was that addict.  But I had to stop, because I have migraine, and my doctor told me to trim down some caffeine and gradually for 4 months long, I have been losing that craving already, but still not totally gone.

HOWEVER, I found my new love, and it’s pretty much obvious with my title. Lo and behold:  my love affair with tea!

I know that it’s the new thing right? And I can say that I may just riding the trend, but fuck that who cares? It started actually 2 years ago when Zen Tea, just in front of our school, has officially introduced to Taft Ave. and I actually tried there and it’s damn good. My favorite was Nai cha milk tea and some cold tea beverages. With its cheap price range of 55- 70 pesos it became a hit that after a year or so there came Simple Line, Tea Central, SereniTEA, Tea talk  and many more. All had different flavors to offer and had some price increased as well. It clicked. It may be a fad but I think it’s a better fad than coffee, since it’s healthier. My favorite now is Simple line’s oolong tea!  How about you guys?

Btw, I also noticed that Starbucks and coffee bean started to advertise tea since it boomed. Starbucks now has posters of their Green tea latte  in every branch all over, right? Like I’m not talking with just one poster, but like tons of it and it’s marketed as healthy drink.  Beware guys, if it has to be marketed as “healthy”, sometimes, it most likely isn’t. =(  So for conscious people, better research first before slugging.

Post production

This is the kind of life I really wanted to have or at least be part of it, THE PRODUCTION WORLD. I was only dreaming about this and now… I’m getting the feel and living that way.

Last Thursday, Went straight to the office, Straight Shooters to finish encoding past projects then finished it lunch time. Daissa and I had lunch at Wendy’s since we only have an hour left before we proceed to Blue Rain production. Balak ko pa naman mag Go Greek, ngalang anlayo kasi ng lalakarin going to Glorietta! After eating junk, we went straight ahead to Blue rain for post prod and interlock.

Ma’am Diana asked us to print the selection photos of the possible talent for the next day shoot and delivered it personally to Publicis Manila and gave it to Sir Marlon Rivera. Went back to Blue rain and brought with us are the Betamax tapes. We watched the final cut of the commercial with the agency, and it’s such a relief seeing the finish product.

Anyways, I really like the look of Bluerain post production office: It reminds me of Haight street, San Francisco California!

I need 80 more hours for my OJT, and still enjoying every minute.

Best lesson from my OJT : It’s not only helping them on the set but at the same time, I’m learning from what they do.

Can’t wait to see the advertisement being aired on the TV:)))

COOL! I just saw the new ad of “Smart Communications” that we worked on last last week! :-) its out already! :)This is the “confidential ad” I was talking about on my earlier blogs! :)
